TRAFFIC SAFETY EDUCATION PARTNERSHIP

The South Jersey Traffic Safety Alliance and the Delaware River and Bay Authority have joined forces to educate the visitors of the Cape May Lewes Ferry and motorists of the Delaware Memorial Bridges.

The 2003 partnership includes: maintaining brochure centers at the ferry terminals; playing traffic safety videos in the terminal on the New Jersey side; producing posters and brochures outlining the different traffic safety laws between the two states; establishing them as a Fitting Station and Lead Agency for the Bounty Program for Cape May County; hosting a pre and post season seat belt survey; and hosting four child safety seats inspections and one bike rodeo. 

As a Fitting Station, the Cape May Lewes Ferry will have supplies to perform child safety seat inspections by appointment.
